Grace Brown Joins TDU Commentary Team + Full Coverage Schedule

Australian Olympic cycling champion Grace Brown will join an all-star commentary team for the Santos Tour Down Under (TDU) this month in a move set to bring fans even more expert analysis, broadcast live and free on Seven and 7plus.

Brown retired in late 2024 after time trial gold at the Paris Olympics, time trial and team relay wins at the UCI Road World Championships and victory at Liège-Bastogne-Liège. She is also part of TDU history, having won the women’s race in 2023 in emphatic style.

The 33-year-old will share specialist insights during women’s racing at the TDU, joining fellow Seven commentators as all UCI Women’s WorldTeams contest the event for the first time.

Brown said she was looking forward to joining the commentary lineup for Australia’s greatest cycling race.

“I’m really excited to join the commentary team for the women’s race at the Santos Tour Down Under,” Brown said.

“The event is a hallmark of the Australian summer of cycling and keeps stepping up as a race on the Women’s WorldTour calendar.

“I have great memories of winning here in 2023 and it’s awesome to keep my passion for the race alive now on the commentary side. I can’t wait to be amongst the buzz of cycling in Adelaide as the winning storylines of 2026 unfold.”

Popular broadcaster Mark Beretta will return to host Seven’s 2026 coverage alongside cycling expert Matthew Keenan and legendary ‘Voice of Cycling’ Phil Liggett MBE in his 26th TDU commentary appearance.

Viewers can also look forward to coverage from former professional cyclists Gracie Elvin and Robbie McEwen, with Weekend Sunrise presenter James Tobin back on board to capture a variety of action along the race route.

South Australian Minister for Tourism Zoe Bettison said the TDU was a summer highlight for sports fans across Australia.

“The stage is set for another exciting edition of the Santos Tour Down Under, which returns to open the international cycling season, deliver world-class racing and share our state at its best,” Minister Bettison said.

“We know how important the Seven broadcast is to Australian cycling fans and, with a 13 per cent increase in viewers last year compared to 2024, it’s clear all eyes will be on South Australia once again.”

The 2026 TDU will cover a total of 1154 kilometres and include a number of historic firsts, including the longest ever women’s race and two passes of the notorious Corkscrew climb, plus three ascents of Willunga Hill for the men.

The Santos Tour Down Under is taking place in Adelaide and regional South Australia from 16-25 January 2026. It will feature nine days of elite racing for men and women.
