Boddington’s Sensational Rise

Now an Oppy winner, Korey Boddington, won five Oceania titles and four national titles in 2025.

Hit by a van at age 11, the Queenslander suffered serious injuries. Then, at age 15, he was involved in a severe motocross accident that resulted in a brain injury.

He started track cycling just two years ago in 2023, won a Paralympic gold medal in 2024.

“I just want to be as fast as I can be,” he said.

“I’ve got this crazy dream, I want to go under a minute (in the 1km time trial) and under 10 seconds in the 200. If I keep chasing those goals, we can kick a lot of other goals along the way. Why not see what’s possible?” he said at the awards ceremony.
