Welcoming visitors to the show at the opening ceremony Simon Wang, the President of TAITRA (the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, explained the global significance of the bike industry and opportunitues that lay ahead.
“This year’s theme, ‘Ride the Revolution’, reflects the industry’s transformation with electrification, mobility and accessibility,” Mr Wang said. “It’s not just about building bikes but integrating technology and redefining how we move and connect.”
“We’re excited to have 980 exhibitors from 35 countries showcasing their latest innovations across 3600 booths. We are hosting representatives from across nearly 20 international cycling associations, and bringing together key leaders who hope to shape the future of the industry,” he continued.
“Innovation is driving cycling’s evolution, the Bike Vision startup zone features 11 startups, from 6 countries, each pushing the boundaries of electrification, sustainability and smart cycling solutions. In addition, the Taipei Cycle D & I awards is going to celebrate the outstanding innovations in smart tech, eco friendly materials aerodynamics, lightweight design and e-bikes.
“With ESG initiatives gaining momentum, cycling is eco-friendly mobility and carbon reduction,” concluded Mr Wang.
